Broad beans are harmful to your dog!
Unfortunately, broad beans cannot be given to dogs. It contains a compound called phytohemagglutinin, which can cause problems with our pet’s digestive system.
What are the symptoms of excessive consumption of broad beans by a dog?
Usually, a small amount of long-cooked broad beans should not cause unpleasant effects. However, if your dog eats too many broad beans, especially raw or undercooked, it may cause

- flatulence
- allergic reactions
Even if our dog is a great lover of broad beans, we should refuse him this treat. It is better and safer for our pet to find vegetables that the dog can eat.
